About us

Pro-ACT Deventer
Study association Pro-ACT is for students who study at the Academy of Creative Technology at Saxion in Deventer. This includes the educations:

HBO-ICT with the graduation profiles

  • Software Engineering
  • Business
  • IT Service Management

Our target
We want to give students a pleasant study time by organizing parties, network drinks, excursions, (guest) lectures and workshops. The study association is generally aimed at:

  • Organizing both professional and party activities that complement the regular education of the students of ACT in Deventer.
  • Promoting contact between the student with the study and between students.
  • Bringing students into contact with potential employers in the ICT sector.

Mission
The study association wants to be inspiring for the students of the Academy Creative Technology in Deventer and show the students what the field of the academy entails by taking the students on their way to companies and organizations. In addition, the study association wants to be a relaxing addition to the students during their study time. This encourages students to get to know each other as future professionals in the field and to build up new networks.

Vision
Study association Pro-ACT responds to the student's request with regard to organizing activities. Pro-ACT does this through a separate meeting with the class representatives per class in which input from the students comes for possible activities. This requires flexibility of the study association.

History
The study association officially exists since 25 May 2011. From March 2011, the board worked hard to get student association Pro-ACT in Deventer off ground. This started with organizing activities for students of the academy. The students responded well to this. In the meantime, we worked hard on notarial matters, the website, recruiting members and even more to make the study association known.
